My 5th Day at J Spiders: A Day of Rushing, Classes, and Learning
Today was my fifth day at J Spiders. My alarm rang at 6:00 a.m., and as soon as I opened my eyes, I checked the time, quickly turned off the alarm, and set it again. The next time I woke up, it was already 7:00 a.m., which was very late for me, as I usually aim to wake up by 7:30 a.m. Panic set in, and I rushed to get ready for class. By the time I was done, I was already running behind, and I hadn’t even had breakfast.
I quickly left for class, arriving at 10:15 a.m., which was my first time being late. However, to my surprise, the faculty hadn't arrived yet, just as usual. When he finally came in, he began the Java class. We discussed various topics, and the class lasted for about two hours, wrapping up at 10:00 a.m.
But at 10:00 a.m., our next class, Aptitude, was supposed to start. Since I hadn’t eaten breakfast yet, I decided to leave the campus to find something to eat. Unfortunately, by the time I returned, breakfast was no longer being served, so I went to a nearby restaurant to have my meal. I also grabbed a cup of coffee on the way back to the institute. I was still worried about being late for the class, as it was already 10:25 a.m. when I was outside the campus. However, when I arrived, I saw that the class had not yet started, which gave me some relief.
I entered the class, marked my attendance, and took my seat. Since I was already late, all the good spots were taken. I had to sit at the back, where the board was visible but not very clear, with about 50% of the content hard to read. Thankfully, the voice of the trainer was audible, and the Aptitude class went on for two hours.
Afterward, we had a group discussion in another building. I had to go there alone, and I waited for about 5–10 minutes for my friends to catch up. Once they arrived, we started our discussion. During this time, we were supposed to mark attendance, but the attendance sheet wasn’t available. As a result, my team left without marking their attendance. I waited for two more minutes to mark mine and then returned to my PG to have breakfast.
After breakfast, I headed to my next class, which was SQL. In this class, we learned about primary and foreign keys, among other topics related to TCS and QT exams. I didn’t attend the class the previous day, so I left early and returned to my room.
Once back at my PG, I started researching the TCS and QT registration process and gathered all the information I could find. I spent about an hour on this, and then I received a call from my future roommate, who will be joining me next month. We had a brief discussion about our upcoming stay together, and then I went to have dinner at his place. After dinner, I returned to my room to continue working on my TCS and QT exam application, as well as updating my resume.
Since my resume wasn’t ready, I left it unfinished for the time being. After completing everything, I shut down my laptop, set it aside, and started writing this blog. Once I finished writing, I went to bed.
That’s all for today. Looking forward to the next blog.
