My 8th Day at JSpiders: A Series of Unforeseen Events

My 8th Day at JSpiders: A Series of Unforeseen Events

Today marked my 8th day at JSpiders, and it was definitely an eventful one. Yesterday, I was talking to one of my friends, and since we stayed up late, I couldn't get enough sleep. I set my alarm for 6 AM, but when it rang, I snoozed it. When I checked the time again, it was 7:35 AM! I immediately jumped out of bed, got fresh, and hurriedly got ready to head to the institute.

By the time I arrived, the class had already started. The teacher was dictating some points, and I quickly went inside, found a seat, and started writing down whatever was being taught. There was a girl sitting next to me, and I asked her if I could take a picture of the portion I had missed.

In our Java class, we were given some practical questions on arithmetic operators. I opened my laptop to write the program, but the suggestions weren't showing up. I was confused because I had been using VS Code for a while and had already installed JDK and VS Code. However, when I tried to compile the program, I received an error stating that JDK wasn't found in my system. I was shocked because I had been using it without any issues before.

My mobile network was not working, so I couldn't reinstall JDK at that moment. I decided to type out the entire program and save it, intending to run it later at my PG using Wi-Fi. By this time, the class had ended, and the trainer left. I was quite hungry because I hadn't had breakfast, so I went to the nearby restaurant.

At the restaurant, I decided to try a new dish. The vendor told me it was sweet, so I skipped it and instead ordered a curd vada for Rs. 50. It was a new experience for me. The taste was neither great nor awful, but the curd was surprisingly sweet, which confused me because curd is usually sour. The vada itself was small, and the overall flavor felt a little off. I was still hungry, so I ordered another vada with chutney, which I ate quickly before heading back to the institute.

Afterwards, we had an aptitude class, which started as I arrived. I sat with my usual group, and we worked through some problems. I was able to solve most of them, but a few stumped me. I’ll practice more and hopefully get better. Following that, we had a presentation session, which I found quite boring. My group decided to skip it and head to a coffee shop instead. We grabbed a coffee and went to a nearby park, but just as we were about to sit down, the park staff told us it was closing. We ended up sitting on the boundary of the park, chatting and wasting an hour.

We eventually returned for the presentation, which was over in no time. After that, we had lunch in the institute. I then went back to my PG, opened my laptop, and tried to fix the JDK issue. I connected my laptop to my mobile via a data cable but still couldn’t resolve the error, even after reinstalling JDK. I didn’t have enough time to figure it out because I was late for the next class, so I just shut down the laptop and went to class.

In the next class, we learned some basic SQL commands like SELECT * FROM table, DESCRIBE table, and others. Afterward, I had a grooming session, but I skipped it because I needed to move my luggage from one PG to another. I packed up my stuff, but the PG owner wasn’t around to hand over the keys, and her phone was switched off. I decided to leave the keys with the cook and booked a rapido ride to my new PG. Although it was only 1 km away, my luggage was heavy, so I opted for an auto.

When I booked the ride, the driver arrived very quickly, which was unusual. I was still packing, and when I noticed him waiting outside, I rushed down with my luggage. I loaded it into the auto, but it took me a while to get everything sorted, which made me 45 minutes late. The driver was rude and refused to waive the late charges of Rs. 3, even though I offered him Rs. 50. It felt like he was angry over a small amount, which was uncalled for.

Once I arrived at the new PG, I tried to hand over the keys, but the owner wasn’t available. I left the keys with the cook and unpacked my things. I cleaned my room, arranged my luggage, and set up my bed. By the time I finished, it was around 7:30 or 8 PM, and I was extremely tired and hungry.

I decided to go out for dinner instead of eating at the PG. I walked for about 1 km in search of a restaurant serving sehri for Ramzan, but I couldn't find anything. Eventually, I stumbled upon a small Chinese stall and ordered a plate of noodles. I asked for it to be made spicy, and while the noodles were white in color, they turned out to be just the right level of spice. The quantity was large, and for Rs. 60, it was a great deal.

On my way back, I stopped by a sweet shop and tried some rasmalai, which was delicious! I was so happy with the taste. Afterward, I returned to my PG, and the owner was finally there. I paid my rent of Rs. 8500, and although I asked for a pillow, he refused to provide one. I didn't argue and just went to my room.

I spent the last few minutes of the day feeling exhausted but called my family to catch up. After that, I had no energy left to write this blog, but here it is now. I’m going to sleep and will see you tomorrow!

Thank you for reading and stay tuned ! ☺️
