My First Day at J Spiders: A Journey of Learning and Determination

Today, on the 20th of February, 2025, I began my exciting internship and training at J Spiders. This was a big day for me, as it marked the beginning of my professional journey after securing an internship offer from the company. The day started a bit chaotically, but I managed to navigate through it and make the most out of the experience.

A Rush to Get Ready

I woke up a bit late—around 8:46 AM—due to a long nap I had taken after waking up early. As soon as I saw the time, I panicked, realizing I only had about an hour and fifteen minutes to get ready. I knew it was going to be tight for getting dressed, having breakfast, and preparing all the essential documents for the center. Nevertheless, I rushed to take a quick shower, got dressed, and headed to the PG’s breakfast area. However, I didn’t like the food there, so I quickly returned to my room, grabbed my backpack with all the necessary documents, my laptop, and other essentials.

With only about 20 minutes left before 10 AM, I rushed out to a nearby restaurant to grab some quick idli and vada for ₹65. After finishing my breakfast quickly, I ran towards the center. Even after all the rush, I was still five minutes late, reaching the center at 10:05 AM.

Arriving at J Spiders

When I arrived, I saw a large group of students waiting in line. I was unsure whether I should join them, but then I noticed some students walking upstairs. Out of curiosity, I decided to check if my batch was there, but I found nothing. I went back downstairs and called the counselor who had confirmed my placement yesterday. She guided me to room number 31, where the session had already started. I stood at the door, hesitating to enter, but the teacher allowed me to join.

Registration and The First Session

Once inside, I sat down and asked a nearby student what I should do. He informed me that we had to register on the J Spiders portal. Unfortunately, I had no internet connectivity despite having a data pack, and the website wasn't loading. Thankfully, the student offered me his hotspot, and I was able to access the portal. I completed my registration and waited for the next instructions.

After a while, more students came in and followed the same process I had. Shortly afterward, a teacher entered, discussing the current job market scenario. He explained that students who graduated in 2021 and 2022 were facing difficulties due to the market downturn. However, for those graduating in 2023 and 2024, things were looking better. As a 2025 graduate, we were in a golden period, with opportunities in abundance. The next 3 to 6 months would be critical, and I felt a strong sense of optimism after hearing this.

Motivational Session

The teacher’s words filled me with confidence. He assured us that with dedication, we would all land good jobs. He emphasized the importance of regular attendance, assignment submission, and active participation in placement activities. I truly believe that if I give my best, I will succeed in securing a good job.

After the session, we were sent to another room where students from both the free and paid batches were sitting. Another instructor, who introduced himself as one of the co-founders of J Spiders, shared his journey of overcoming struggles during his engineering days. He emphasized that hard work pays off and that every student at J Spiders would get placed as long as they gave their 100%. I promised myself that I would follow his advice and give my 100%.

Completing Formalities and A Glimpse of Luck

After the session, we had to scan a QR code for attendance, and then I left the institute. However, I realized that I had forgotten to submit some important documents. I quickly returned to the institute, but the counselor was unavailable as it was lunchtime. I approached another staff member, who directed me to the accounts department where I submitted the documents.

Once I finished, I headed back to my PG. It was around 2:30 PM, and I was tired and hungry. I rushed for lunch but missed the buffet as it had already closed. Just when I was about to give up, I noticed some food being prepared for those who had missed lunch. I was overjoyed! The lunch turned out to be delicious and, for the first time in 6 days, I truly enjoyed my meal.

Reflecting on the Day

After lunch, I returned to my room, settled down, and called my mom for a quick conversation. I then decided to scroll through social media and research some nearby places to visit. I also started drafting this blog to reflect on my first day at J Spiders.

Later, I received a call from my aunt and had a brief chat. By then, it was dinner time. The dinner consisted of roti and sabji, which was quite satisfying. On my way back to my room, I overheard a conversation between the PG owner and the chef, who were discussing the insufficient amount of dinner for everyone. It seemed they were preparing more food for those who hadn't had enough.

Conclusion: A New Beginning

As I sit here in my room, reflecting on the day, I feel both exhausted and motivated. Today, I experienced a whirlwind of events—from a rushed morning to an inspiring session about the job market. I am confident that, with hard work and determination, I will succeed in this internship and training program. I have faith that I will land a fantastic job soon, inshallah.

Tomorrow, I am going to focus on my studies and give my 100% to the program. I know that with Allah's guidance and my dedication, success is within reach. I’m looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
