My 24th Day | A Busy Day with Classes, Iftar, and an Unexpected Dinner Outing

Hey there! Welcome to ZBlogs. Today, on 18th March 2025, it was my 24th day at the Software Development Institute. Let me walk you through how my day went, starting from the very beginning.

I woke up at 3:30 AM, and as usual, I started my day by getting freshened up. I had to prepare for Saheri, but for some reason, I couldn't decide what to eat. I spent around 15 to 20 minutes browsing through apps like Zomato and Blinkit, but didn’t find anything that suited me. After wasting some precious time, I finally decided to eat the almonds I had soaked the night before. Then, I ate some Biryani I had bought the previous night. After finishing my meal, I offered Fajr Namaz and cleaned up before getting back to bed. I slept until 7:15 AM, thinking it was a good time to wake up. However, I had actually planned to wake up at 7:00 AM, so I was a bit late, which cost me 15 minutes.

Realizing I was running late, I quickly pressed my clothes, got ready, and left the PG by 8:00 AM. I aimed to reach the institute by 8:15 AM, hoping I wouldn’t be late. I got there just on time, but it all depended on whether the instructor had arrived before me. When I entered the class, I saw that the instructor hadn’t yet arrived, and there were only a few students around. I met Manoj outside the gate, and he asked me to wait for the others, but I felt really hot and tired from the long walk, so I decided to go inside for some fresh air.

Eventually, all the students showed up, and we waited for the instructor. Our Java class was supposed to start at 8:30 AM, but the instructor didn’t come until after 9:00 AM, which was quite late. He apologized for being late and handed out chocolates to make up for it. The topic of the day was constructors in Java. Many students hadn’t fully understood the previous class, so the instructor took the time to explain everything in detail using real-life examples. By the end of the class, we all had a much better understanding of the topic.

After Java class, we moved on to the next class, Logical Programming. In this session, we focused on the basics of programming, like if-else statements and loops. The instructor gave us a few problems to solve, and the class ran 15 minutes late, but it was okay because everyone was feeling pretty hungry by then.

After class, we discussed whether we should take breakfast, but most of us decided to skip it. Instead, we headed to a park nearby where we had a quick breakfast before coming back to the institute for our next classes. The class options were either SQL or Aptitude, but since the SQL class was rescheduled, we opted for the Aptitude class.

We joined the Aptitude class a bit late, but the instructor allowed us to sit and catch up. We covered a few tricks for solving math problems faster. The class ended, but there was one last problem left to solve, which the instructor decided to explain after the regular class time. He asked if he could take 5 extra minutes to explain it, and we all agreed. After that, he promised to explain the next part of the topic the following day.

After the Aptitude class, most of my friends were eager to leave and head home. However, I decided to go to the Masjid to offer Namaz. When I returned to the class, most of my friends had already left, but I stayed to attend the SQL class. In this session, we learned how to select data using queries. It was a very informative class, and we did around 10 queries to practice the selection of data using both columns and rows.

The SQL class ended around 4:20 PM, and I quickly headed back to the PG. I changed my clothes and started working on writing this blog post. After some time, I took a break to scroll through social media, and soon it was time to head out for Iftar.

As I was on my way to the Masjid, I received a message from Pavan, asking if I was free after 10 PM. He invited me to join some friends for dinner. Despite being a bit concerned because I had to wake up at 3 AM for Saheri, I agreed to join. I knew the restaurant would only open after 10 PM, so I just decided to go along with it.

At the Masjid, I offered Asr Namaz and had Iftar. Afterward, I performed Maghrib Namaz, and as I was walking back to my PG, I bought some Biryani for Saheri. While walking, I received a message that tomorrow’s Java class would be suspended, and the first class would begin at 10 AM. This news made me happy because it meant I could sleep a little longer.

After buying the Biryani, I went back to my PG, changed clothes, and continued working on my Java assignments until about 9 PM. By this time, my roommate arrived and asked if I had already eaten dinner. Since I was planning to meet my friends, I hadn’t had dinner yet. He ordered food for himself, and I went downstairs to grab whatever food was left. After filling my tiffin, I went to the bus stop to meet Manoj.

Manoj had called me earlier, asking if I had left yet. He told me to take the bus to his place. When I reached the bus stop, I wasn’t sure which bus to take, but I eventually found the right one. I sat on the bus, and the journey felt much longer than I expected. According to Google Maps, the destination was about 4 km away, but I realized later it was around 7-8 km. After some confusion, I arrived at the bus stop near Manoj’s place, and he picked me up.

Then, we headed to Pavan's house, where we met up with Akash, and together, we set out on our long journey. To my surprise, we didn’t go to a restaurant as I had expected; instead, they took me to a food stall under a metro station. We all ordered food, and I had rice with a boiled egg and an omelette. It wasn’t the best meal compared to other places I’ve eaten in Bangalore, but it filled me up.

After eating, a few of my friends wanted tea, but there was no café around, so we found a tea stall instead. I didn’t have anything because drinking tea would prevent me from sleeping later. By this time, it was already 12 AM.

Finally, we all went home, dropping each other off along the way. During the ride, Manoj shared his life stories about struggles, heartbreaks, and love. After dropping off Suresh, we continued the journey and finally dropped me at my PG.

When I arrived, I found that the gate was closed (which is unusual), and I had no choice but to climb over it. With no other options, I managed to jump inside, and since the lift was off, I had to take the stairs up to my room. By the time I reached my room, my roommate was already asleep. I quickly locked the door and settled in, finishing some last-minute tasks before heading to bed.

It was around 12:30 AM when I finally got into bed. I set my alarms for 3:30 AM to wake up for Saheri and went to sleep.

That’s it for today! Another busy day filled with learning, meeting friends, and unexpected adventures. I’ll see you tomorrow with another exciting update!
